I know that there are still a few good ones out there, but I really believe that women...no, GIRLS... my age are brainwashed by books, TV, movies, and their friends to think that every one of them deserves to have every guy bend to their every whim, and give them the world. That is utter BS. Sure, some of them may deserve to be treated that well, but they need to EARN it, and that's what most of these spoiled brats don't seem to understand. Selfish, selfish, selfish.

If I have to choose between having a girlfriend or wife like that and being single, I'd MUCH rather have more money to spend on toys for myself ANY day of the week.

But I hope things work out for you, I wouldn't wish divorce upon anyone unless it's the last possible choice.

Rant over. I'm bitter. lol.
Just to add fuel to your fire...
My ex was 40+ when we got married.
She was still damaged a little.

That's the final straw. No marriage for me, I'll just start saving for my Ferrari instead.

I'll give you the advice I was given when I broke up with my g/f several years ago--overall are you better off with or without her? I decided I was better off without her and made my choice with no regrets. Maybe you should present her with a plan to get what you want for a change instead of everything revolving around her wants/needs...if she truely cares for you then she'll understand & help you achieve your goal--if not then the question above has been answered for you.

I have to agree with codeman a little also, IMO divorce should be a last option but life's too short to be miserable...if you've tried marriage counseling (and given it your best/honest effort) then maybe you should stick a fork in it & say you're done. Either way it goes I wish you the best of luck...let us know how everything turns out.
