Just saw him play on Jay Leno. Man I miss the Smashing Pumpkins so bad!

It just wasnt the same.. his same voice, but it just seemed as if the music had no soul or he wasnt into it. 2 freaky freaks on synthisizers (looked sorta like paint cans on stands for some reason) and a drummer playing on an electronic drum set. Billy was on guitar, but it didnt sound good. He's gone alot more electronic with his music and its just not near as good as what the pumpkins put out across their amazing music career.

Thanks for the heads up Scott, I'll make sure to watch it tonight.
I loved the Smashing Pumpkins, and I have been let down by Corgan and his Swan band.

LOL thanks... FOAMY RULES!!!!!!!!! I've come to the conclusion that Foamy and I are long lost brothers. If you dont know who Foamy is, check out http://www.illwillpress.com and watch the toons. he and I are very much alike.

Zwan is the band you are thinking about. The song "Honestly" is a good song, but the rest I never could get into. Usually if I listen to an album 4-5 times, it starts to grow on me.. none of his new stuff has at all.

I read somewhere recently that Billy Corgan is reforming the Smashing Pumpkins, albeit with a different lineup. He was calling for auditions in the Chicago area, and I'm not sure how far along the new band has come along. I doubt that Corgan would have pulled the new band together in time for the Leno gig. Can't wait to hear what the new band comes out with.

DUDE!!!!!!!!!! I need to follow the news more.

I'm pretty sure right now that James Iha isnt doing much other than his studio work. He's been helping with A Perfect Circle alot lately (on the last 2 albums). The only one I am sketchy on even remotely coming back would be D'arcy.

I really liked the Smashing Pumpkins but never really followed Corgan after they broke up. I still listen to "Melancholy, and the Infinite Sadness" quite a bit though

MAIS is a good album, but I prefer Siamese Dreams the best. Probably followed by Gish.

I miss them. I used to SUPER love the smashing pumpkins. They are the soundtrack to my engagement and marriage.
I hated that after the pumpkins crap..

Only bands that reformed and improved IMO is Audioslave and Velvet Revolver.

eh.. im still not on the bandwagon with Audioslave's second album.

I was a huge RATM fan and I liked Cornell's work with Soundgarden.

I have been on the wagon since day 1. I adore Chris Cornell.

Smashing Pumpkins kinda went like REM- they got ODD then they got BAD.
