I'm not sure of your beliefs either Keoni but you can bet that what Rob and Terrence said is very true. And as hard as it may seem to believe right now for you...You're a very lucky man! I'll tell you why.
When Ford unveiled that new Mustang, it was a drream of my wife and I to get one eventually. Like everybody else we had a mortgage, car payment and so on. I've now had this baby for almost a year but it came at a grgeat price. One that I don't think you'd be ready to pay. You see, 17 months ago while I was at work, my wife, my best friend of 11 years who had just turned 40 had a heart attack while she was alone in the house. She never had a chance and yet we all believe that everybody deserves a second one.

Today I'm living a dream that we were supposed to live together. It's not the same. Nothing is anymore. Sometimes in life it's hard to understand the Lord's ways. I for one do not know why this had to happen and yet I keep the faith for I believe we'll be together again.

I don't want you to cry for me. You have enough to worry for now. But think of this. You're still healthy, strong and most important, YOU HAVE A WIFE AND A CHILD TO COME TO AT NIGHT. I'd give my life for what you have right now as God as my witness! After almost 18 months I'm still trying to understand WHY. I probably never will but I KEEP THE FAITH for it's all I have left.

So whatever you do Keoni, do not despare. There will be a better outcome to this...as long as you believe. I do! And like the guys said, keep coming here. It helped me alot and took my mind somewhere else when I needed it. I don't know you, I don't know where you come from, but I'll have a prayer for you tonight.
Hang in there buddy and may God bring his blessings upon you and your family,
John

I know you feel...I went though the same thing back end of last month, but like everyone else here said, it worked out in the end.

My story is this: I work as a civ contractor for the Army. I work another contracting group that does training for officers and I handled the PC hardware end of stuff for them. Been there 4 1/2 years and everyone knows everyone, nice laid back place to work. I was coming out of the bathroom and the site manager whos in charge of the guys down the hallway (I'm pretty much my own boss) asks me if I was interested in this one guys postion they had open since last fall (guy just dissapeared and never gave his notice etc), I said I was but I had due to the education thing I was taking advantage of at my current job, I had to stay there a year after finishing my last class up, or pay them back, which at this point time would have been over 10K! So I got a werid look from the Site Manager, but didnt make the connection till later in the day.

I got home and I got two calls from my manager AT HOME and on my Cell, which has never happened before. Since I was home on the early side, I called him back...and got a shock..my position was being eliminated due to cutbacks in the Army budget due the war on Terror and suppositly Katria. Then I was like what the heck was going on this morning. Well I took the news pretty well and went into work the next day...and Found out that they knew what was going to happen in the AM, thus why the offer was made to me. They looked out for me an now I start my new job working with the same people next month with a nice 10K pay raise. So everything works out in the end...and everything happens for a reason.

For every door that closes, a new one opens.....
Trust me.

I had what I thought was my "dream job" but my contract didn't get picked up due to "politics". I was crushed.

With losing that job- I picked up more responsibility at the job I kept "just in case"...... and things are wonderful now.

John, sorry about your loss. But thank you for sharing your story. Your point is well made, and one we should all listen to in order to maintain perspective. Material things come and go, but you cannot replace family and friends. I lost my job two weeks ago, but I too have faith that something will turn up soon and I'll be back at work. God takes care of those who maintain their faith -- I've seen it time and time again. Peace, brother.

sorry to hear about that man

but even in tough times, just think of the good things you still have (your wonderful family for example) and just hang on to hope.

a smart man onced told me there are two elements in life:

hope and love

love of the good things you have in your life, and hope for better things to come and to be able to hold onto those things you love for a lifetime

good luck my friend, i hope everything works out for you

I sympathize with anyone's pain. Setbacks, roadblocks, and catastrophies have always strengthen my resolve to persevere. Stubborness and a failure is not an option attitude has worked for me. Best of luck.

Unbelievable -- my faith pays off (as always). A job literally fell into my lap two weeks after I lost my job. And it's more money too. God takes care of those who believe...
