How many of you went to yours? i just came back from mine. it was ok besides the small ballroom the size of a classroom. went out to eat at IHOP, the guy who drove me to prom had to pay for my food since i left my wallet at home lol. gotta remember to pay the guy back lol. but how about you guys? lets hear your stories

 

Mine's this friday... NOT! I'm too broke to go, and my girlfriend is going without me, with her friends

 

Wasn't my thing so I never bothered to go.

 

I went to mine and it was actually pretty nice. We had it by a lake way out in the country. I drove my date in my 70 Ranchero that I was still rebuilding after the accident it was in so it was just primered.

 

yeah not my thing either, but i went so i wouldnt regret not going later on.

 

They didn't really make a huge deal about mine like some people do. Besides, I have better things to spend my money on.

 

Yeah but spending money on a blow up doll for a prom date doesnt count/.

 

OK. I'll break the trend here. I went. Twice. Junior and Senior year. Of course it was a Junior and Senior prom.


Junior year I went with the woman that would become my wife, my Senior year I went with another girl.


It was a big deal at that time at that school. Everyone went. The girls made sure of it. No limos or anything, but we went out to eat, in groups, at a nice restaurant, and then went to the prom, and then went to the after party or to a secret location such as a hotel.

I would borrow my mom's car, detail it, and take the girl out in it. It was alot like Pretty in Pink to be honest. Kind of scary that my high school was like a John Hughes movie.

For me it was the only night all year I was allowed to stay out all night.

I spent junior year at a party briefly and then went to a hotel room.

Senior year we rented a condo on the beach, without my parents knowledge, and had about 200 people over.
Lost the deposit on that one.

 

I didn't go, but I went to After Prom both years.... I hated High School.

 

You better hope!

I went to two proms, both from my school. Went my sophmore year (to a junior /senior prom, yes I was dating an older girl ) and then I went again my junior year with a girl I had grown up with and dated from time to time.

Both were uneventful and a waste of money IMO. The junior one however I did have a good time since I borrowed my cousins 1994 z28 6-speed so I had a blast driving the car. Wasn't a Mustang fan at the time

 

i went twice, it was okay. ive been to much better parties since, and they weren't near as costly

 

Just avoid the girls that have nice adams apples.

 

I went to my Senior prom with my girlfriend at the time (she was a sophomore), and then again to the Senior prom of the girl I was dating when I was 20. Both were pretty decent, had a memorable time.

 

Sure it was a long,long time ago.
I went with the Varsity Cheerleader I was dating at the time and we had a good time during it and afterward.

 

The other reason I didn't set aside money for it. Aside from the fact that 2 tickets is $120

 

****. i paid $30 for my ticket which would have been $60 for my date...which i went to prom dateless so more money for me to keep

 

I'd tell you about mine but it was many moons ago and not really suited for g rated conversation LOL

Lets just say if you hear me say when i leave the scene "I'm off like a prom dress" well you know what I mean

Oh and on a side note I'm currently dating that same girl (her junior prom)
That prom was our very first date LOL Her BF at the time dumped her that day and I had been lusting after her and got the courage up and stepped in to save her night.
