Yes a DD is the smartest way to go!! If you can't get a DD call a cab or relative. Be embarassed but be alive if you have to be.

The Rose is very awesome.

Did anyone do anything fun?
We had a cookout, Rode the 4wheeler through the woods- ew ticks and spiders. And at Dark lit out for the BIG fireworks show.
I like the smiley face ones best. And only in Alabama can the grand finale be- SWEET HOME ALABAMA. (the show was set to music).

We had the family down and went for a 6 hour boat ride. I was thinking, cool, I wont get sunburned since i was driving, but my arms are toast

April, was Thunder On The Mountain good??? I was exhausted so we didnt go, plus it stormed like mad at our place.

It didn't start raining till the last notes of Sweet Home Alabama, then it rained like hell all the way to Alabaster before it tapered to a drizzle.

Yea, Thunder on the mountain was good. We watched from behind Piggly Wiggly at Oxmoor and 31. They had smiley face fireworks-which I think are the coolest. Mostly red white and blue and sizzly ones. Theirs was more about showy fireworks than size. The grand Finale I liked too.

I was lucky and got to work yesterday.

AND the third shift didn't show up....

BUT on the good side, my co-worker let me leave and he stayed until 7 AM, when first shift comes in.... I'm gonna buy him a beer or two, he earned it for that!

Plus, I got to spend the day with my family....my in-laws came over and we did some grilling....My son came up from Florida for the holiday, which was nice. I let him borrow the Mustang so he could go down the shore with his sister....

My youngest, although, did not have a good time with the fireworks, as you can see....

I took the munchkin to the local stadium to watch the fireworks! They are getting shorter and less showy every year. I think they just threw a bunch of pyro into the tubes shot them off and said OK we're done.

At least my daughter enjoyed it, so it was worth the time. And we parked in the parking lot where I work so there was no crowd other than wildstanglx90 stopping by to chat for a few minutes.

Hope everybody had a good holiday!
