I'll be running in 2028 when I'll be 46. I figure that will give me enough time to become a state rep., then governor, then on to president. Think of it, a Progessive (for some dang reason liberal is a bad word, but during McCarthyism Conservative was a bad word, things change) from the Midwest running for president. Hmm, sounds good. Actually I will be starting school for political science and economics next fall. I figure with a Bush economy, I won't be able to afford a new Mustang so I'll go to school instead, and change that.

Also, I just noticed that I am now a Bullitt Member. Yay!

Oh, and about loving USA, I think a lot of Right Wingers get Patriotism confused with Nationalism. Patriotism is when you support your country, not your government. Even to the point of Revolution. Thomas Jefferson was the one who said "Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism." While Lincoln (who wasn't really a Republican, his beliefs were too liberal) said, "This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it."

Nationalism, on the other hand, is to support the government no matter what. "We're in a war! Support the president" See: George Orwell's 1984

I didn't know Kerry had promised Mustang giveaways. No wonder the election was so close.
Oh, well. So much for the theory of counting chickens before they hatch.

I still don't know if I could vote for him even for a free Mustang. And as far as Nationalism vs. Patriotism, I believe you can love your country without loving the goverment that is running it. I suffered through 8 years of Clintonism, but I'm not gonna preach here. God bless America! :flag2:

So, what you are saying is, you'll actually have to HAVE a job, not a handout???? If that's the case, maybe we can overcome 8 years of slick ***** and his wanna be wiffy who couldn't see her own husband dipping his cigars in something besides an ashtray..... Let her run th country, yeah, right....

Remember, good hard work and earning what you have is the American way and good for all of us. Hand outs build a fat, lazy, country that fails. Help those in need but for those that can, they should. Go George!

kinda contradict yourself there

In the words of the famous John Stewart, "If George Bush has a "farm" in Texas", then Dale Earnhardt drives a pinto"

its not verbatim, but you get the gist. pointbeing, the same man youre vouching for has had most things handed to him. inlcuding the election of 2000

The election is over, we can all go back to spending too much money on our cars now.

BTW, I finally found a use for all the plastic election yard signs! If you have a car that you don't drive in the winter and don't have an indoor place to store it, you know how the rotors always rust then. Well no longer! I have the perfect gift! The rotor cover! Simply remove the wheel place the cover of you favorite politcal canidiate (or turn it inside out if youe are a-political) over the rotor and caliper, tie it with string in the back, and put the wheel back on. Your brake rotors will look like new come springtime!

Only $19.95 for a set of 4!

I accept visa, m/c, paypal, diners club, green stamps, and slightly used slicks.
