Why do I not check the net when there is a car I know!! :bang:

Another pic of the MG SV 5.0L V8! It is supposed to be designed to take on the Carrera 4, but at $140k, seems a little pricy!

That was fast.

Actually, I'm glad that you got it right, cause now I can ask you few questions about this car.

When I used to live in Europe, I always like them. I'm going for Europe next summer, and I'm planing to buy a car there. I need to know your persional opinion of Tipo. I have about $4,000 to spent. 1990 Tipo with 150,000 km cost about 3,000 euros. Is that good price? Is it too many miles on it?

Zoran,

They are solid cars with a suprising amount of space, but they never really caught on here due to the dominance of the Ford Escort and VW Golf. You want to get one of the bigger engined models, e.g. 1.8L or 2.0L as the 1.4L made for an underpowered car due to it's weight.
I have just had a look at my local Auto Trader and there is a 1992 2.0GT 16v with 102,000 km on it for sale for the equivilent of €2,200. It seems the one you are looking at is a little overpriced, so I would shop around if I were you. As with everything this age, mileage really isn't the biggest issue, it is the state of the bodywork and the electrical system that warrants the highest price.

Hope this helps

James

My dad used to have 1983 VW Golf with 150,000 km that he sold in 1999 (when we movied to the United States). It was a great car, but not something I would buy.

I think you will agree with me when I say that Fiat looks great. Design is just great. I'm not familiar with engines in European cars and that's why I asked you for help.

I'm not in the hurry to buy a car in Europe, I go there every 2 or 3 years (I usually stay all summer), so I would like to have a car that I can drive during those few months.

By the way, does Fiat offer Tipo with diesel engine?

Thanks Jimmy.
