GO ASTROS!

While I usually support my home teams, I'm really geeked about the Astros and their amazing winning of recent weeks. They have in recent years been a mediocre to good first half, very good second half, team. Which is always fun to watch as they all of a sudden won the division.
But this year is obviously different, with the Cardinals running away with the division, the 'Stros only hope was the wild card, and it wasn't even looking good for that. It was bad, folks.
What a difference a second half makes. And Garner, apparently...
The Astros are officially in the lead by a 1/2 game in the NL Wild Card race. They're off tomorrow, and the Cubs and Giants are playing tomorrow. That 1/2 game will be either a whole game or even with someone, and it'll all be balanced for the chase.
The race is ON, and I like the schedule for the Astros to come out on top! And then lose to the Braves in the first round, of course...
But hey! Another post season may be here!
Maybe that whole first round thing is gonna go away this year and the Astros can move on up. Gotta get there first.
So in closing, may I shout out: GO ASTROS!!!

as long as those darned Giants dont make it to the playoff's i'm happy. Even though i live in L.A., and dont like the dodgers that much, but i loathe the giants. i'm a Braves fan how they pulled it off this season, ionno 
the astros streak has been amazing. if they dont make the playoffs theres gonna probably be some changes, because they have some amazing players, and picked up some more before the trade deadline.

The Astros are my most favorite team in the MLB. ITs all Roger Clemens though hehehe
As we speak (or type) I'm saving up for a Clemens jersey and some nice shoes to go with it

I personally think the Cubs will win the wild card. But I'm a Cards fan born and raised. More World Series wins than any other NL team! It's time for another one. Like our local Ford ads sing, "I bleed, red and blue. I love my Cardinals, my Ford and you." OK, I'll leave off the "you" part. (I don't know you that well)

the astros and giants are tied after yesterday's games. those darned giants 
the dodgers play them for the last 3 games, so hopefully there is a sweep. the dodgers need only one more win to get in the playoffs

And, might I add, go Dodgers! (playing Giants)
And of course, for the next up to 24 games, GO ASTROS.
As I write, Astros win, Cubs lose, and Giants have won. Just found that last out just now...
So I amend the second thing: Go Giants. I think. Hmm... NO. I just figured it out. GO DODGERS. Win two for the Miker.
Dont' fail me. I don't wanna all tied playoff thingy... :bang:
And, might I add, go Dodgers! (playing Giants)

giants just LOST! it was an amazing game. the dodgers were down 0-3 in the 9th innning, and won the game 7-3! amazing, a walk off grand slam. the relief pitchers kept on walking them, and the shortstop made an error, and sooner than you knew it it was 3-3 with the bases loaded. then steve finley came up and hit a grand slam. he knew it once he made contact. he released the bat with pride about 1 second after he made contact. the crowd went CRAZY!!!
and 30 minutes earlier, the Angels won with a come from behind win, their runs came in the 8th! my favorite baseball player, Vladimir Guerrero, hit a two run homer in that game ^_^
the A's are eliminated from making the playoffs (my girlfriends team )
it's a beautiful day for southern california, and an ugly day for those up north

oh yea, cant forget about my team. the Braves eliminated the Cubs from the wild car chase today!
the Sports Illustrated jinx is alive and well. they had predicted the cubs to win it all

Thanks, but really, I've discussed this with some friends, the silver hats just don't look right. Well at least not with the cards logo. Maybe something with silver in it would look better? (Logo, not the hat)
