Hey now, I just got an iphone.

 

I'm sure it's a fabulous phone, Scott. And it just might be my next phone now that Verizon has one. I was just recalling a conversation we were having on the forum about the droid (since so many of us seem to have them) and out of the blue someone replied with "Droids are for people that can't afford an iPhone and that want Trojans and other computer related viruses!" So his comment about his stupid iPhone made me laugh

 

If you only knew how ironic that post is, considering where Dayne lives.

 

I've found TMS the best of all the sites, cause everyone here is generally good natured and goofy. Those that take the whole internet forum thing too seriously (other than sharing good info, which we all do here) are quickly shooed away from the site. That and the lack of profanity on TMS is what keeps me on pretty much just this site. It's also way easy to use.


And, don't y'all know lobsters are just big sea spiders??? Think about it, if they weren't red and had big floppy tails, you'd run the first time you saw them...

And I love French food too, their fries are the best

I still say that you better watch out for the droids. They do have flash, unlike the iphone. If you remember what happened back in the 80s and 90s with apple, this might do the same thing. Apple was more popular because it worked well and was easy to use. IBM let Gates take the operating system to others and it became a much more open platform. More open means a more disorganized mess, but it also means that many more companies will work to support it. It is no surprise that Apple lost market share.

Mark my words, if Apple continues to make the same mistake as it is doing now, you will have a phone that increasingly does very well at fewer and fewer things while Androids pick up more and more capabilities provided by more businesses. I read on MSNBC once about the **** test. It is simple. Whether it was movies, Magazines, computers, or other stuff, as technology advanced the truly useful innovations had **** on them. Now this is not because **** lovers are smarter, but rather because people are generally always prone to want ****, and if the technology is so inflexible where despite their very determined efforts they are not able to effectively have much ****, then other much more important things will surely be unavailable, too. In other words, if people for whatever reason work so hard to have **** and cannot, then how in the world are they going to bring more useful things in that they are not willing to work as hard for? No, Apple better be careful, and there are very smart well informed people out there that see the truth that for many things Android is already better. For the rest it is either just as good or will be soon. I currently have the Droid on Verizon. When I can get a new phone later this year, I certainly do not plan on getting an iphone. That would just be a waste of my money. I want to get a new model with 4g and the very fast processor they are starting to use now.
