Just paid $3.19/gal for 87 unleaded in Phoenix. The local AZ newspaper is reporting that the state is pleading drivers to NOT top off their tanks this weekend otherwise they think we might see shortages.

I just filled my Mazda up @ $2.89 for regular.

Southeast Texas
UPDATE: I drove by the same Exxon station where I bought the gas above and it's now $2.79! It dropped 10 cents!. Many of the other stations dropped around 5 cents and some didn't change at all.

Ponca City OK we filled up at 2.99 for regular grade with my mom's Envoy at Conoco and we went past a Shamrock station about a mile down and it dropped 10 cents.
So as of now its
2.89
2.99
3.09 at both the Shamrock and the Conoco when we headed past is again
and Oklahoma is considering dropping the gas tax...i doubt they will and i bet 723 will be passed which adds ANOTHER tax on gas to "fix state highways and bridges"

By now most of our gas stations have stopped even putting up the new prices, or most of them don't have threes anyways. I'd say the cheapest i've seen is 2.59 and the most expensive i've seen is 3.10 for regular.

The Jackson MS. newspaper reported today that a station there had $3.39 on the pump, but when you filled up and did the math it was actually charging $4.09. The owner of the station kicked the reporter off the property when he was questioned about it. I also heard that the Governor of MS said if anyone was caught price gougeing he would see to it that they never did business in MS. again. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know if he can do that, but, I hope he can and hope he does.

I used up 3/4 a tank over the holiday weekend- GRR>

I would say Shell is gouging......If you want to eat, you don't get gas at a shell around here.

BP is reasonable...
The Walmart stations are your best bet these days.

AND there is a certain owner here who owns Chevrons and Shells who is TOTALLY price gouging -their gas is about .30 cents more a gallon than all the other stations around here.

I've seen it as low as $2.74 but the average is problably around $2.79. The Exxon around the corner is $2.77.
