I've heard of it, but never played. I'd like to try it though.

I think it is also called Disc Golf

Is say's that they are heavier and smaller than avg. frisbees
There are a wide variety of discs, divided into three basic categories: putters, approach discs, and drivers. There are several classes of drivers intended for different distances. Mid-range drivers tend to be the most versatile discs, and are very good for beginners. For longer drives there are many variations of long-range and extra long-range drivers.

Too funny,

I used to play a couple times a week here in raleigh....ahh what great times...

(thinks back smiling)

great fun, hiking, smoking, drinking, and throwing...ahh what fun...

but now I just dont seem to have the time...

Oh and discs arent heavy, they are weighted to control style of flight, some go straight, some go leftt, some go right, some are putters...I know...I have a ton of them.. Go...Play...Have fun!

Use to play till I blew a knee snowskiing. You need a miniumum of 3 discs. A putter is a must it is softer so it doesn't bounce of the pole and will fall into the basket. One heavy one for wind or low throws under branches. A long distance one bigger and a distance lip. Others are usefull and fade to the left or right. There are different weights depending on wind and preference. Read the rules and have fun. Bring water.
