I have a option of going to UTI (Universal Technical Institute) and take the Ford fact program. Is anyone in here a mechanic for ford? And if you are do you like it? How long of days do you work 8,10hrs etc! What does the pay range from? And what days off do you get? Do you get bonuses, raises, commision? And is it a Mon-FRi? And what are the benefits like discounts,medical etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about starting a new career.

Hey man i'm going to go there too. I'm gonna do the Ford program as well. From what I know you will start with an average of 30k a year then later on you can start flagging hours which can get you 100k a year if you are good.

i went to a uti owned school... motorcycle mechanics institute in phoenix az. who ever thought it would cost almost 20 grand to go to mechanics school. anyway there is $ to be made i guess but crap $ to start.

 

oh yeah.. right now i work 6 days a week. 49 hrs plus 1hr commute each way no fun.
