At about 1:40 into the video the horse is clearly spraying. There is no way he could pull that hard without a little chemical induction.
Seriously, that is one fast horse! Barring any unforseen accidents I think we have a Triple Crown winner.

The crazy thing is that I've always subscribed to the theory that 'smooth is fast' which, in the case of race horses, would translate into graceful is fast. This horse is a lot of things but he isn't graceful by any stretch...he runs like a 1500lb bulldog....I love it.
Faster than most everything else with an unruly bend????...maybe he's a Mustang.

That last comment brings to mind the tragic accident at the Derby. It was amazing to see a mare run that fast only to have to put her down right on the track after the race. I know several folks involved heavily in the horse industry, not all in the racing side, and they were all heart broken. It's a beautiful sport to watch but like all others it comes at a cost..
