Customer service sucks these days
Is it just me, or have y'all noticed a major loss of human decency? Let's use Customer Service as an example. I called no less than five garages to get pricing on some paint, stripes, performance mods, etc...only one got back to me and one more gave me an estimate after I called three times.
Checkouts, cashiers, waiters, toll booth operators, EVERYBODY is in a bad mood all the time.
Maybe things are different now, and people in the service industry don't have to GAF, but jeez!!!

Every time I have to go to walmart they act like they don't want my money. With the millions they make it wouldn't be that costly to hire one more person and open up another lane.

Just yesterday, I found an item on the Home Depot website, my local store was out of stock. This is a seasonal item, doubt they will reorder again. The site listed several stores, each one had ( 1 ) left. I picked the closest store, called them, got the correct department, told the women what I was interested in. She checked her inventory, found ( 1 ) listed......................... & then walked to the location to verify that it was in-fact in stock. I told her I wanted to put it on my HD card & pick it up tomorrow.
She transferred me to customer service, who took my card info & told me it would be put aside for pick-up on 9/1/2016.
Went to the store this am, 7:10, & the item was as it was promised, on a cart, ready to roll out to my truck.
Have also done business with American Muscle.
I ordered pre-painted parts, ( MMD ), they were delivered quickly, but had some paint flaws. Contacted customer service who asked me to take a couple of pics of the damage. I sent the pics & within 1/2 an hour, had a new order number, tracking #, and a return shipping label for pick-up @ my house.
American Muscle is a stand-up co.

I've noticed it in different industries and just in people in general, years and years ago.

I will say as someone kind of in customer service that while this is completely true there are also on the flip side there are customers who suck nowadays.
Customers who lie and cheat and steal and work an angle just to try to get a lawsuit. I've had customer steal my material from job sites. I've had customers claim defective items when they clearly caused the damage. I've had customers do everything you can imagine. And then I've had some great customers who are obviously honest that we would go out of our way for.
