I have noticed that diesel, a huge commercial and industrial commodity has remained steady. $2.19/gallon here. I'd love to see diesel back down to the same as 87 octane gasoline.

about the same
this is not going to be good for any of us, including OPEC, this economy can't afford for gas to go back up.

Oil's at $40 per barrel. The west cost is seeing higher prices because of the cost to transport the gas in your direction. I will come back down shortly.

All around the holidays the stations in this area were pretty steady at $1.59.

Today the Shell station near me which tends to run high is at $1.69, and Hess near me which runs about the low side of average is at $1.67. Typically there is about 6 to 8 cents difference between them.

I'm curious to see if Shell goes up or Hess goes down.

Wow I wish it was that here in Indiana. The cheapest 87 octane around here is 2.80/gal. It's hard to up-grade my baby when I have to spend all my money just for gas. It's crazy

Ummm.... check the date on that post. That post was 8 months ago and i'm sure the prices are no longer that low there.

But back to modern day reality, locally here Hess is $2.48 but the closer Shell station is $2.67
