Perhaps many of you have seen the posts at stangnet, about Spanky442 who is dealing with a terminal condition. The posts are heart wrenching. He is a fellow Mustang enthusiast, and he has the desire to drive the 05 when it comes out. In one of his recent posts he mentioned that he can feel his strength diminish. Wouldn't it be great if someone from Ford could arrange a special drive for Spanky ? I am hoping that there is someone out here at the MustangSource that has such pull. For the rest of us, we can use our connections to pray for Spanky and his family. Here is a link to his thread.

Stuff like that is always hard on everyone....it is gut wrenching to read.

Has he or anyone else tried to contact Ford on this?
I could see them letting him at their track or something.

 

It would make great PR for Ford. They could probably use that. He should contact them.

Here are a couple of ideas. Brad is well known and respected in the Mustang community. A request to Ford, or perhaps to MM&FF magazine could carry some weight.

If an arrangement can be worked out ande assistance is needed, I would be willing to help out.

I believe that he lives in the Northeast. I'll check and see if he mentioned anything in his posts.

 

I've followed the post almost from day 1. Pretty heartbreaking. I really hope things happen for a reason. And all this with such a young family too (kids 3 and 5).

Very sad.

 

No offence meant to anyone, but if I was terminally ill and had kids I would want to spend all my time with them and bring them on a nice long vacation.

I haven't read the post, so maybe he did this already.

 

I think that we should do something for this guy. It's really sad his condition, and I think that these kind of things should make us reconsider the way that we are living. I hope that some Ford executive could help this guy to drive the 2005 before he get worse. Its his last material wish.
