Chris Benoit & Family Found Dead in their Atlanta Home
I know there are some wrestling fans on this forum so I thought I'd pass along this information for those who may not have heard the news....
According to several websites (including WWE.com) Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy "Woman" Daus-Sullivan-Benoit and their son Daniel were found dead today in Atlanta at their home. The cause of death has not been identified.
Benoit's last contact with World Wrestling Entertainment was this past Saturday where he informed WWE agents that he would not be able to attend the WWE Vengeance pay-per-view on Sunday where he was scheduled to wrestle C.M. Punk for the vacant ECW World Title due to an illness in the family, with varying reports stating Benoit's family being ill and spitting up blood. He flew himself home from Texas (where he was in the state for the pay-per-view) to his home in Atlanta. The bodies of his wife, his child as well as Beonit were found today. Atlanta P.D. are investigating the death of the Benoit family.
No matter how you feel about professional wrestling, this is a sad, tragic turn of events.

Sheriff's Lt. Tommy Pope said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details about the deaths at the house near White Water Country Club.
Pope said the deaths were being investigated as homicides, but said the cause of death awaits autopsy results on Tuesday.
He would not say how the bodies were discovered, or who found them.
The World Wrestling Entertainment said on its Website that Benoit, 40, his wife, Nancy, and son, who was named Daniel, were found dead but also had no other details.
The WWE said that instead of its programming Monday night on USA Network, it would air a three-hour tribute to Benoit.
Benoit, a Canadian native, maintained a home in metro Atlanta from the time he wrestled for the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling.
Most recently, he fought as part of the WWE.
Benoit's wife, Nancy, managed several wrestlers and went by the stage name, "Woman," The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on its Website.
They met when her then-husband drew up a script that had them involved in a relationship as part of an ongoing storyline on World Championship Wrestling, the newspaper said.
Benoit has two other children from a prior relationship.

I just caught the tail end of Raw, they did a little 'in memory of' tribute to Benoit That was kind of nice. But, if he murdered his wife and child then he really doesn't deserve it.
I hope that doesn't sound harsh. I just can't believe how many people can kill their families including their own children, it's disgusting. Hopefully facts will come out that disprove the murder/suicide, especially since Benoit was looked up to by lots of kids around the world.

If its a murder-suicide...
I take back everything I felt for the guy ...
I feel bad moreso for his family that has to deal with it.
I didn't watch the 3 hour RAW show, but as the info came out online,
a friend of mine said you could see the tone change of the show.
From a celebrating his life, to ... just a tribute... and apparently Regal looked pretty ****ed

Well since we don't know why it happened it is a little difficult to react to the situation. I thought he was a great wrestler, but after Eddie died he wasn't the same. I know several people that have commited suicide, but I can't imagine what he was going through his head to not only take his life but that of his wife and son as well. I know some people that commit suicide take the lives of those closest to them thinking that way they will not live with the pain of him dying. I know, it doesn't make sense to a sane person, but people that are thinking about suicide are not sane. I feel sorry for the entire family.

Very tragic news. Apparently his wife filed for a divorce in 2003 as well as getting a restraining order against him fearing for her safety and the safety of their child. They later reconciliated.
I have no remorse for this SOB, I hope he burns in Hell for what he's done. What kind of man takes the life of his wife and own son.
Just scum...I'm even more dumbfounded that I was yesterday.

After reading what he did to his wife and son I have to agree, I have no remorse for him what so ever. WWE should not have a "special" or huge dedication to this guy. Sure, a quick post showing he passed away would be normal, but that is where it should end. His wife and son are the ones that should be remembered, not him!
