Check out my new SG

I actually got it three days ago but forgot to post it here. It's an SG Classic, either a late '06 or possibly an '07 production. I haven't ran the serial # yet.
Six strings (EB Power Slinky as of now), solid mahogany body (2-pieice, looks to be bookmatched), set neck with Indian rosewood fretboard... pearloid dot inlays, off-white binding... and toggle switch tip. Normally that's black but I bought it in person at GC (for 20% off sticker w/ no haggling, no less) and it was missing so I pulled one off of a $2500 Les Paul and put it on.
Anyway, it weighs about 6.5lbs, very light, balanced surprisingly well, and plays absolutely marvelously!
Planned upgrades include... BKP-91 pups, the RS GuitarWorks premium kit (pots, caps, toggle, wire, jack), TonePro's bridge and lightened tailpiece in a lightly-aged nickel (chrome =
), aged nickel Grover tuners... blank trussrod cover, and witchhat ***** for the period correct look. Now... what am I forgetting? Aw yes, straplocks! Can't let my nice, new, $825 gem fall!
Thoughts?? Opinons? Show off pics of your own gear?

Wow, that's more than I paid for my car!
Congrats!! Very cool!
$750, plus a ton more for the paint/body work!
Nice buy!!! I would really like a Angus Young SG...
though, I am planning to get a Ibanez S series real soon, I just love the guitar....I just have to get my Schecter Omen 6 back from getting the neck fixed
.....The glue seperated near the headstock for no good reason
I also own a beautiful 2003 Fender Mexican Stratocaster with HSS and painted in Ice Blue Metallic....I got a setup done on it, and now it plays like a dream. Its my baby....I got it used from Guitar Center for 250 dollars...I use Ernie Ball Super Slinkys. I would like to replace the pickups with some more responsive pickups....possibly Seymour Duncans or Fender custom shop.... http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/3...estrat1hh0.jpg
My last guitar is that wonderfully strange looking Dean Firecrackle from the 80's. I purchased it from the local pawn shop for 107$.... It was to wierd looking not to buy. The Dean needs a good restoration....the pickups suck BAD...maybe replace them with EMG'z

Collecting guitars is so addicting

the hollow body is sick!
Saw that you have the Live at the Isle of Wight CD, do yourself a favor and get the newer version of the DVD, it's in a gold/brown cover instead of being the same as the CD. The sound in outstanding. It's one of my favorite CD/DVDs I have.
I have the DVD, but not the extra-new one with Substitute and Naked Eye. Too bad it didn't sound that good for the people there, even though, and here's a bit of trivia...
The Who's PA system used at that show is THE MOST POWERFUL PA system ever assembled. More than 5000 watts of power... truely insane.
Anyway, I listen to music thorugh Windows' Media Player, and if you fool around with the sound controls long enough you can spruce up the songer a bit. Louder overall, with much beefier bass (not just the instrument, but as a whole), and loads of REVERB. The guitar bits are much snappier and closer to the DVD, and yet it's probably the closest yet to what the audience was actually hearing.
