Can someone put music to my lyrics?

I wrote the lyrics to a song... it's a heartbreaker. About me and my exgirlfriend I guess, and how there are only moments when the pain isn't around. I'm sure everyone's felt like that for a certain amount of time after you lose a close gf/bf. I was wondering if anyone could put music to my lyrics.

Well, here they are.

Those Moments:

I went out with the boys last night
ended up running from those old red and blue lights

We were driving on the edge,
Living on the limit.
Didn’t even care that we
Had no destination

In that time of ecstasy,
surrounded by that aura
I couldn’t think past
what was going on there

Self contained in that time frame
That collective memory
unsullied by the problems
that had haunted me for weeks

And for that moment, I almost forgot how much I missed you
Just for that moment, I almost forgot how much I care.
Just in that moment I might not have told you I still love you
But now in this moment, I know, that I always will.

Today I was hangin out with an old friend
Just playing some games and talking bout good times

Met a couple new people
Even kept a smile on
Kept playing that stupid game
While ignoring that void

I could finally keep that smile on
I could finally feel something
But I knew what was coming
And couldn’t keep that away

Self contained in that time frame
That collective memory
unsullied by the problems
that had haunted me for weeks

And in that moment, I almost forgot how much I missed you
Just for that moment, I almost forgot how much I care.
Just in that moment, I might not have told you I still love you
But now in this moment, I know, that I always will.

I woke up from a nightmare this morning,
I saw you again, after all of this emptiness.

When our lips met, my heart finally felt full
When our lips met, I remembered how good feels
Then when I woke up, I remembered that awful pain
Then(cause?) when I saw you with him, I knew,
That I had never known pain before

But in those moments I almost forgot how much I missed you
Just for those moments, I almost forgot how much I care
Just in those moments, I might not have told you I still love you
But seeing you today, I know, that I always will
Seeing you today, I know, that I always will.

I have no idea how anyone who did come up with a tune would get it to me anyhow, so if you think of a way to record it or something, let me know. I'm thinking acoustic-y.

songs are "poetry" put to music essentually ... your verses need to rhyme and be of equal length for music to fit ..
row row row your boat - gently down the stream
merrily merrily merrily merrily -life is but a dream

I've done some songs myself and can record using a home system I have. BUT, after studying your lyrics it would be a difficult structure. It would probably have to be changed, which you might not want. When I write a song I usually have more or less of a melody in my head as I write, and then I always end up re-writing phrases or words over a period of time, say a few weeks before I end up with the final cut. Hoss is right that if you want a sound that pleases the ear it needs to be easy to listen to, meaning rhyme and some what equal phrasing length. Not saying it couldn't be done, but the end result might not be what you had in mind. Nice poem though, perhaps you could write a follow up titled "Just let it Go" and move on. Good luck.

I did have an idea in my head when I wrote it, and when I sang it to a couple people they said that the only thing in the lacking department was the music I put it to. I understand it's somewhat of a daunting task, so I'm not forcing any of you into it I just wanted to see if someone could think of something other than what I already tried for it.

As for Codeman I had played around with the piano and couldn't seem to get it right. If you can, though, I'd be more than happy to hear it. Thanks bro.
