Just wondering if anyone else was playing Carbon.

I just got it and started with the Muscle Car class, so I have a Camaro, Mustang and Charger at this point in the game.

Does anyone know if you unlock any Tuner or Exotics while playing as the muscle class? Just curious as to how cars are unlocked. I just want to have other class cars unlocked for multiplayer but so far only muscle cars have appeared in the showroom.

Feel free to post anything else about the game. Just wanted to start it off with a question of my own.

I won a 69 Charger R/T from my first rival and runed into a General Lee. American Flag on the Roof and 01 on the door. It was the closest I could make it.

My Mustang GT is as close to a Bullitt as I can make it with the games options.

 

I'll try to ask my 10 yr old he makes me look like Mr. Magoo he has taken one territory now going on his second, that's about all I know as I do not get the time.

 

hey i'm like 60% through the game... sweet game... like the story, although a little short... but the cars that you have now will not be able to compete later on.. my advice save some money the exotics cost up to 150,000.... then you'll need mods... I recommend the RX7 when you get up to that level...
When you win a race you can win access to a new car, modification or performance mod.... same as when you win and beat a boss... it will either unlock a new car or get a new mod... You should start getting tuners around either the 2nd territory or the 3rd... I do not recommend buying a Mustang GT nor a 350z... sweet cars... but they can't compete with whats in this game... I'm kinda stuck... my Lotus & RX7 is haing trouble competing with those Corvette's Z06... then lambo's.. man this thing gets though...

Also I believe... dont' scold me if i'm wrong... when you run from the cops you get rewards after so many rewards something unlocks... i think that is how it works... anyways have any ? let me know...

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I already bought the Mustang GT which I'm having trouble competing with since it is a tier 2 car and I haven't unlcked any tier 2 mods. So right now I'm using my Charger from Territory 1 Pink Slip, which as long as you plan your turns early and oversteer like crazy you can slide the thing perfectly around corners.

I've been trying to use the reqards cards to figure out what I need to do in the game to unlock the parts I want. Also I've been working on the Challenge series to unlock a few other unique items. I just haven't unlocked any other cars but Muscle Cars so at least I will have a choice later if I need a car for drift events or other unique race types.

 

I beat it on the 360....I was kinda disappointed...and nobody can figure out how to get the 2007 GT500..

 

I just finished career. Took me only 2 days.
Carbon is big disappointment.

My advice is, buy Lancer Evo or Impreza Sti, but keep everything stock (very important) except for nitros. I bought few exotic cars and spend a lot of $$$ to mod them. None of them could keep up with Audi on last race. Then I got Evolution and I won easily.

 

Dude the last race was EASY....I beat him the first time around with my Ford GT....it seems that lots of people are having trouble with him

...ohh and has anybody got the 2007 GT500????

 

It seems to me that many cars that are in the game can't be unlocked. For example, I tried 2 challenges and I drove Lexus IS300 and Plymouth Road Runner. I never saw either one of them on car lot for sale.

 

It seems like the guys a EA sat around thinking up ways to make this game not fun....like "lets make a street racing game without any drag racing at all" and "lets promise a bunch of cars but make them near impossible to get/ or not avaible at all"..........I mean this game is a serious disappointment....Autosculpt is a cool idea, but with gay body kits its uncool....and the Crew idea is mucho lame...

 

Yeah, Carbon is big disappointment.

I should've bought NASCAR 07 instead.

 

So has anyone tried playing solely with a Muscle car? I was thinking maybe the cars don't unlock due to the car you are driving at the time during the game. Because the more I drive muscle cars the more Muscle cars I seem to unlock. Has anyone beet the game with a Muscle car? Maybe thats how you get the GT500.

Has anyone unlocked the other GT500? Is it anygood?

 

I unlocked '67 GT500. I played most of the game with Camaro, then little with Impreza Sti and then finished with Lancer Evo.

GT500 is not bad at all.

 

i think he meant the 07 GT500.

 

nobody can find the bloody 2007 GT500.........
