For the people that carry a weapon on them. I know its your right to do so and i don't have a problem with it at all. Just do you go to areas that are that dangerous where you fear for your life?
or is it just because you can?

I don't have any REAL reason, I live in a VERY bad city..but I live in a sheltered part but travel through some bad parts to get home. I grew up in a family of police officers and around guns so I see my dad, uncle, cousins, ect. carry guns on and off duty so it has become "normal". I have a CCW, and as my dad always lives by "a civilian without a gun is just another potential victim". I carry in a holster that doesn't "print" so IF it ever gets to a point that I have to take a weapon out...lethal force is my next step. I hope I never have to..ever, but if that day does come I will be glad I am a gun owner. We live in a time that people are pressed for money, drugs, hard times bring on bad choices and everyone has a gun today no matter what side of the law you are on...level the playing field.

I only ask cause i was curious. I for one respect everyone that carry and the fact that we have that right. I come from a family, mosty my brother and dad, of hunters. We have an 18 gun gunsafe full of an assortment of shotguns and rifles.

This, my wallet, keys, and cell phone.
Why do I carry a firearm? Not because it's my right, but because it's my responsibility. I have a wife and 2 young boys. I have a responsibility to protect and provide for them, and I have to be around in order to be able to do so. I don't live or work in a bad area, but bad things happen everywhere. Nobody will ever be able to guarantee safety no matter where I'm at. It's really not much different than wearing your seatbelt. You don't have to be driving in a high accident area to be a victim of someone else's stupidity, so a responsible person may choose to protect themselves and their family by ensuring they're buckled up.
