Anyone Been to the Shelby Factory in Las Vegas?
Just wondering if anyone has any info about going to the Shelby Factory in Las Vegas? I will be in Vegas for a couple of days at the beginning of April and want to go see the factory. I am not lucky enough to own a Shelby but do own a '07 GT/CS and a '65 Converible and love stangs.
Any info would be great.

I was there in January. Definitely worth the visit. There is a small museum there and there were Mustangs and Shelby's everywhere. They are building Super Snakes now, so that would be something to see.
Also, the Shelby Cafe should be open. I believe the factory tours are at 10:30am M-F and you could walk over to the Cafe for lunch after the tour. It is a pretty cool place as well.

Went this past November, well worth the trip. Send Amy B. an email, may be able to bring you on a "behind the scene" tour, after the traditional one. Was able to do this with a couple of friends, got the see the Cobra builds up close. Enjoy!
Definitely worth going to! Shop tours are only at 10:30 am, no reservations required, but e-mail AmyB and she may be able to meet you and show you around. I've met her. Super classy lady. Carroll isn't there very often, and there isn't a schedule that I'm aware of that will tell you when he might be, but it's still an incredible experience. After taking the tour, they hand out markers and let everyone sign the wall in the shop. (There isn't much drywall left showing.) Check out the very first Cobra in the lobby, possibly the most valuable car in the world. Carroll has turned down $23 million for it! Oh, did I mention it was free? (the tour, not the car) Not that you'll be able to get out of the gift shop without spending something...
OKAY...so now you have gotten me all excited I can't wait to go. Quick question - who is AMYB and where can I find her email. When I get back I will post some pics,,,as always thatnks for the help.
When I went there for a visit a few years ago, they where building the Shelby Series One Car. The museum was cool. When you walked in to the left was the very first Shelby Cobra ever built and the last car when you waked out was the very last Shelby Cobra ever built. And in between was a Mustang Shelby from every year. Does it get any better than that? There was Mustang Shelby's owned buy the Man himself, and Shelby's I did not know they even made. And then they had Shelby gear, Like hats, shirts, ect. I bought many hats and shirts to look like a poser Shelby owner, you know kind of like all those Harley shirt wearing guys that when you ask them what kind of bike they have, they always say they had one, or want one some day. But I will get a Shelby GT as soon as I can get myself to get over that $1,000.00 gas guzzler tax. Until then , the hat and the die cast car if just fine.
Well I am back from my few days in Vegas. If you ever get a chance to go to the Shelby Factory & Museum do so. It was very informative (led by Adrienne Poplin). It was about a 45 minute tour and it flew by. Adrienne sure knew her stangs and was a great speaker. They were working on some 40 Anniversary stangs and also had a Super Snake. It rolled out for a quick test drive as we were leaving and it sure looked sweeeet!!
Also if in Vegas make it a point to go to the 5th flor of the Imperial Palace as they have a great collection of cars, from rare oldies, to new stangs and plenty of older ones as well. Also some pretty neat cars from the movies. Most are for sale (I couldn't even afford the car tax on most) They ranged in price from $20K to $4 million!!!
