I am not sure how things are done in Oak Lawn, but maybe some members here know the whole deal from local news...

 

wow thats messed up- i live about 20 min from oak lawn.

she has a good case here for sure.

there are some real douche cops out there.

 

Add this to the list of reasons I will never visit Chicago. That cop is way out of line, obviously escalating a situation instead of deescalating it and using a completely unnecessary amount of force. There is plenty of evidence there to show that his emotions got the best of him, and for the grandma to be in prison is yet another crime.

She obviously had an attitude problem and previous brush-ins with the law, but seriously? Putting a older woman in a chokehold? Get a life, dude.

 

I think she pushed him first when she chest bumped him. Also I know some of the cops are racest in oak lawn.

 

It looked like they were both getting in each other's faces, like kids in a playground brawl. Scary that these folks 1) had kids and grandkids, and 2) are entrusted with a service weapon and a commitment to protect and serve. To treat a fellow human (on both sides) like that over a freakin' Hooters bill? They need to grow up.
