See... I always liked those old trucks. We had a 1972 Mack aerial that we sold a couple of years ago but man was it fun to ride in the back, it was open compartment.
Except for the winter that is, that stunk

Yeah the old trucks are ok when they are good to start with like the pumper that was sold (open compartment too), but when they weren't great to start with like the tanker... well I won't go there. (it's not too bad it got a new engine a couple years ago and it's for sale so I'm not gonna trash talk it)
allright last one I swear
the arial in action a few years back.

ok so I lied.
This one is a picture of a picture on my wall and it doesn't really do it justice.
the pic is of a bridge fire on halloween at least 15 years ago pretty close to my house. The bridge was made of wood with asphalt on top so once it got burning there wasn't much that could be done. In the picture the top black thing is the bridge with fire on the underside. There's actually a third gun on the right side but you can't see it very well.

Too chirp in, You dont have much for fire trucks do you Scott? I live in a town of like 3300 people and we have a huge ladder truck, i am not sure how long, but it is a tandem axle cabover and it is huge. also hav a F-550 brush truck, a 93 Ford L8000 Pumper, a truck with a box on back, i think it is a mobile headquarters truck or w-e, and we have 2 other pumpers and 2 ambulances, and a F-350 Diesel with a full pump set-up in back. and I think thats it. Everything in the garage is Ford except 2 or 3 cab over pumpers and the ladder truck.

We dont have much at all. We have less than 1200 people in this area, and alot of them are all just summer homes. We arent a very big department, but we cover over 15sq miles. Alot of the homes are old and sooooooooooooo not up to code. We also have alot of shotty wiring jobs done to boat houses on teh river and also gas tanks underground at houses.
Training has wore me the heck out right now. Burnt the car up REAL good. Also I was about the only one who could easily put the piercing nozzel through a piece on the first shot, and I was the only one to get it through teh roof period.
We also smoked up our cheifs old river house that has to be redone. That smoke machine does a REAL good job. Especially when all the windows are covered and you are dragging a hose. It wasnt on fire at all, but still hot as crap. When we vented the place, we all sat inside with it full of smoke and watched it vent from where the fire would have been. very cool experience.
I got a bunch of pics i'll post later.

We train weekly, every tuesday night. Right now we are having the Alabama Fire College 160 class so thats one thing we were doing today. We normally do a saturday thing once a month depending on whats going on and we try to do something fun.
We dont get many calls, maybe 1-2 a week, but thats from being a very sparsly populated rural area.
here are a few pics. Me and my uncle were a team together. Im the one in the bright yellow turn out pants. We've had some people leave or not attend anything in awhile so hopefully i'll be getting some new better stuff soon.
These are the pics from the house we smoked. Man that lil machine can make it thick in there. All the pictures from the car burn are on chiefs camera. I'll be getting those in the next day or so.

Hey! Great pics Scott!!! Very cool! I must say it is an honor to know there are such good people like you out there
How do you like the MSA units? I always liked them and Interspiro the best. We used Interspiro and MSA SCBA units at Emmaus.
We train on Mondays here and then once in a while on saturdays also. Its tough to make of those sometimes though since I am usually busy on the weekends
Told you you would get that piercing nozzle through! Excellent job and now you can have something to hold on the know-it-alls
Did the tires on the car blow at all? I remember they did on my at a car fire and I must say I nearly crapped my pants it scared me so bad. I backed up realllllll fast.

Yeah Andy, one of hte tires went as we were taking a group photo. All of us kneeled down in front of it, my back was about 2ft from tehcar as it was fully involved. BAM and everyone jumped.
The SCBA's were good. Not heavy at all, and I could breathe well. The straps on the frame I had was crap though cause it kept sliding off my shoulder![Doh](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/doh.gif)
I dont think there was vid of the car Lalo, but i know we got some GOOD high res pics with the chiefs cannon SLR.
