Next week that GM pile of CRAP is going to car hades.........She is being replaced with a Sport Trac, F150 or Mustang GT. Fords only for the rest of our lives, and no more used cars- the olds was used and it blew its whole life.
We spent the whole Day at Ernest Mccarty the other day playing with vehicles and getting our ducks in a row. Gotta wait on our bonus to bring a new one home cause the stupid olds is worthless and must be traded in.
I wanted him to entertain a Eleanor sister.....So I drug him to the mustang row.
He has a thing for Dark Stone and Shadow Grey....Neither of which would be a mustang color.

He absolutely REFUSES a white car. Would rather have the plague than deal with it. Olds is Arctic white. PLUS white vehicles lose value because there is a plethora of white on the roads.

On a side note about him- DID you know the Dime 333 geetar we picked up for a little bit of nothing($900 under retail used once @ guitar gallery) is now a collectors item and worth about 3 times what it retailed for new? I am buying him a Fender Strat Clapton Series, because the frigging Dime has to be disassembled to tune and change strings(its intricate). The strat can be hand tuned. The Dime is

April, don't get a Sport Track
Either get a pick-up or an SUV not something trying to be both. While a secong Mustang would be nice for him to tool around in, is it practical? My wife has the Sonic '05 as a daily and I have the Expedition. It lets more than two people comfortably travel,it can carry a lot of crap in the back, and I also tow one car to shows in an enclosed trailer. I know he may want a Mustang, but all things considered is it the right thing to do?

 

Why not? My parents want one. Right now, they have a Focus, Aerostar, and an F-150. The Sport Trac would replace the Aerostar and the F-150 at the same time. We don't tow large trailers anymore (which was the reason we purchased the truck), and we have a flatbed trailer for hauling wood/stuff. The Aerostar is getting kinda old, and will probably need to be replaced in a couple of years.

So, it's more roomy inside, but it has a bed to keep nasty stuff in it. If we need to tow more, hook up the trailer.

April, just a heads up, but Ford's changing the Sport Trac for '06 I think. You might want to wait...then get the new one, or a great deal on the previous generation.

 

Sure thing- If a phone bag fits in the trunk. He is there. Size and space are no issues here. We don't haul stuff. The only issue is two 05s in the yard would be a little strange. Expecially since we don't share well....

Sporttracs are fugly, but he didn't tell me I couldn't have my mustang...So he can get whatever he wants.

 

i like the upcoming Sportracs.... actually if the current one had a better engine, i'd like it too!

I spent another hour at the Ford Dealer.........Dark Stone Sport Trac it will be.....Cause I gotta trade the olds.No Big sis for Eleanor- only way to buy a second is buy outright. Not mine........Doesn't matter.

On the bright side, we will have one vehicle without "for decoration only" written on the back seats. And no more Death cool....

Yesterday also I discovered a place called Bailey Bros Music....GOOD GREIF! Its Fender HEAVEN! I wanted to show B. this:
Eric Clapton Fender They had it and its frigging spectacular- But its $1,300. CRAP! I gotta have it though!! The sound on it is freagging incredible. Take a listen to it on there. $1,300 is half a mustang down payment though.
They also had the Stevie Ray Vaughn Version and the american series strat in red I wanted to buy for him(Its a LOT cheaper).

The Washburn Dime is just a spectacular looking thing, and it sounds great too.Downside, it untunes easily, and its not possible to tune or restring it yourself due to the way its set up. Gotta get an every day geetar.

a SportTrac is a VERY nice vehicle for someone if they want SUV capabilities and truck capabilities if they ever need to haul something.

Plus they come with a hard toneau cover that locks so it's pretty secure.

 

Have you looked at the Ford Freestyle? I was quite impressed with it. I also like the Sport Trac, but if you never need the pickup-bed, I'd go with the Explorer. If you do nee d the bed, go with a quad-cab F-150.

If it were my choice- I would take the lime mustang with charcoal leather they got in Monday!

We looked at the quad cabs, for that price I could buy the yellow GT and have $10k left over to play with.

 

Heres why not to smoke:

Last weekend one of my girlfriends and I were getting ready to go see a band. We thought it would be hilarious to stuff the mens smokes with matchheads so they would explode at the bar. Didn't work out that way, we got caught when they lit one and it smelled like a match.

Yesterday, one of mine frigging exploded on me. Left a blister on my finger and all.Revenge is best served cold I guess.

And the freaking Strat is STILL hidden away....
Oh and the olds is worthless, Cant trade it will its paid off Double May turn it into a titanium 06.

 

So...were you're smokes stuffed with matches as well or did it just blow up for no reason. If there was absolutely no reason for the blow up please tell me what brand that was so I can make sure not to purchase those!
