Trust me, normally unless its the middle of winter- If I see welcome to Florida, I want to be in Panama City.GOT to have my beach time every year.
I would honestly rather be shot than go to theme parks in high tourist season. I normally give the kids a free pass and take off in November or so- no lines.

We have a condo in orlando and my Brother in law has one at Cocoa Beach. We like to go down the 3rd week of Sept after the tourists are gone as well as the 2nd week of Dec before XMAS break.
During the summer my backyard pool is private enough.
