Reason Jack hugged the kid instead of going after the "hand off" guy, is that the series is trying to show Jack's humanity, and just how reluctant he is becoming to do all this espionage stuff.

I think "on the orders of the president" aren't from logan just snowballed through Walt to make it look like thats where they came from.
It was a good episode, can't wait to see more. I had a thought that hobbit boy was going to be the mole, but i was incorrect. Glad it was Spencer since I did not like him much.

Mrs Logan's helper knows something isn't right, I think she helped her escape- think she will gain some lucidity and head over to CTU?

Jack is inside "LOGAN'S RETREAT -- CONFERENCE ROOM". He also appears to be in charge of the current situation at hand. Jack is interrogating Cummings when a "TRILL" is heard coming from Cummings' "belongings". It will be his "cell" phone. Jack will ask him "Who's calling you?" He'll mumble that "It's... Schaeffer's phone". Schaeffer has actually been working for Cummings the whole time. The terrorists were merely being set-up for failure/capture by him the whole time, to make the Logan administration look good. With this info, Jack has Buchanan at CTU, "monitor and record this call"

Yet another great episode last evening. I can't wait for next week. Jack has a meeting with Mike Novek, who he was good friends with, while Novek was working with Palmer for all those years. That meeting, while it looks like it was to be kept hush-hush, is when the helicopters come in and then they arrest Jack. Can't wait for next week.

I think it's interesting the way they've made Chloe this kinda desirable character, but still left her with that great attitude. Gotta love someone who tells you exactly the way it is.
