This would make me so hot! Time to hurt someone, financially or physically.

Good thing he didn't reach that "safe to drive" 200 mph speed, or the car would have became airborne just like its coupe brother at Le Mans in 1999:

To be able to actually see one of the 25 CLK-GTR Coupes, let alone on of 5 Roadsters in person is amazing to say the least. I always loved the way that car looked. I even have the diecast of the Coupe at home. Too bad its a piece of *&^%. Now, this is to anyone who bashes American cars for not being reliable. Even a $1.7M car can have problems.

Come on. You can't equate a race car like this with any other family of automobiles, nor can you expect reliability from a car with an unknown background.

The upside is you can fly it without a pilot's license. Even the Wright brothers didn't do three loops on their maiden flight!

Yikes. Like the rep said, though: it's a race car.

That may be, but it is a street car. Remember, back when these things raced, to get the car into LeMans, the manufacturer had to homologate a small number for road use. In the case of the CLK-GTR, 25 coupes were made. Its just like the MC12. The only reason why that car exsits, is because its a race car, and they had to make 25 copies. The car is scaled back a tiny bit in regards to not being a full fledged race car.
