Yamaha R1

Anybody in here have an R1? I'm looking to get one, I have an itch to go fast on 2 wheels and I want it scratched. Is there any problems I might run into with this bike other than speeding tickets?

the only problem is a lot of people sweat the gsxr1000 a lot more. I personally like the r1, i am a huge yamaha fan.

my thing though is when your riding on the street a nice relaxed cruiser style bike is sooo much more comfortable. I have ridden a 2007 r6 as well and that thing is insane for a 600. In the end, yeah the r1 is awesome, however when i am riding i prefer a cruiser they are pretty sick fast anyway.

oh and speeding tickets... how would you get tickets if you can't be caught?

and make sure to wear your gear. don't be the idiot wearing shorts sandles t-shirt and no helmet.

the gsxr being better is a relative deal. Their bikes dont feel as solid, and although usually have more power and all, i dont find them as comfortable.

yami FTW

I've heard the GSXR is better but I've always been partial to yamaha, but in the end its the driver not the bike I already have the gear from a couple of years ago when I rode an R6 that I traded for a 03 raptor
