XLR-V Price........100 large
#1
Over on GM Inside News it has been made known that the 469hp XLR-V will officially be a $100,000 car. No real surprise here though, as the stansard XLR starts at almost 80 large! Note that only twenty-five grand more than the V's 100k pirce tag will get you into a SL55AMG, or that roughly another six large will put you behind the wheel of a M6, and it becomes obvious this car plays in some rarified air. Why do I keep hearing that old Aerosmith song? Whats the name? Oh yeah....." Dream On"

I like them, and then there's the new STS-V, beauty. Actually, all of the V-series cars are awesome. Cadillac is actually putting out some nice cars again. They're still GMs though.

well, I like the XLR, maybe a bit much for the XLR-V, but what do you expect when the XLR starts at $80K?
As few times as I've seen the XLR I don't really understand why a person would buy a similar Mercedes that costs $120-150K when they could have the XLR. It's rarer on the road and better looking in my opinion.

Well, looks are very subjective, but I can actually agree that the XLR is very good looking compared to it's competition.
As for the Mercedes price issue, I've sat in neither of those cars. And short of that I simply fail to believe that the Caddy matches the Benz in quality feel (which in that segment I think is believe-it-or-not more important than actual quality). Using that logic of course one could ask, why not buy a Lexus SC430 over the XLR? Personally, I'd rather have the XLR if not for the issue of quality concerns compared to the Lexus.
