I don't know about 'trespass'. If someone breaks into your home (in Florida), shoot away, bang, bang, bang... then ask "Who's there?" There are also laws that allow you to protect your property, but one thing to know in the US is to never trust your rights under the law, because we also have things call Lawyers, Judges, and most importantly Politics which can really screw you up after you've done something that should otherwise be legal.

Bottom line though, killing someone for slashing your tires would be a horrendous thing to do. Now, if you approached them for slashing your tires and they came at you with the knife...

That would be cruel and unusual punishment.

A similar incident happened in Maryland not to long ago where a guy came out and saw a dude ripping his wheels off his car! He went back in and grabbed his gun and shot him! Got arrested and thrown in jail for protecting his "property". Don't remember if he was shot in the back or in front. It actually makes a difference in Md.!

I like the laser idea though add video for posterity! would make for good entertainment

Unless soeone poses a "percieved threat" you cannot shoot someone even if they were in your house. Given that the "percieved" part is based on you perception It is not hard to say you thought he was dangerous and protected your life though.

On the tire slasher freeze some paintballs and blast away. Just watch the car as they will dent them if frozen.

not everywhere. Here in california, even if someone breaks into your house and is stealing your valuables, you cannot kill the robber unless he/she threatens you, or another person, or is readily armed.

and while im at it, california doesn't even let us have all the same guns the rest of the states get... *sigh*

The rule is .... if you can run drive skate away from the danger that is what you must do first.... if all else fails shoot
