OK, so the police say they can't do much. I have a good suspision that I know who it might be (not a minor). I am thinking of beating his ***, but I am wary of a "assault and battery" charge...

Your thoughts please?

 

Unfortunately unless you catch the person in the act or they "confess" that they did it, there isn't much you can do. If you go after the person and assault him, then yes, he can charge you. I had a similar issue with someone constantly throwing eggs at my car and house. I knew who it was but never saw them do it so I bought a camera and connected it to the VCR and recorded the driveway every night. One morning I saw the house was egged. Reviewed the tape that showed who did it and brought the tape to the local police. The person was then charged with vandalism.

 

That's all I can suggest, try to get them on tape.

 

black stocking hat, black shirt and pants, Baseball bat and get out there and find the ahole.... don't hit him in the head just bruise everything else........of course setting up a camera is a very good idea also.

that ones got my vote... then you will know for sure who is doing it!!

 

Be sure and put up a warning sign stating that "the tires are filled with toxic gas and slashing them could be harmful to your health" so the family can't sue you.

 

Then again, all's you may need is that sign to deter him from slashing your tires.

 

...doubt he'll take the time to read the sign....

 

Get a laser sight for a gun and wait up for him.....place the dot on his chest making sure that he see's it first. Do not use a gun, therefore all you did was point a laser light at him and not a gun....no legal trouble but will make him change his drawers and I doubt he will come around again

 

I like the laser idea, that would scare him pretty good!!

 

...or shine a strong laser (the kind used for pointing out constellations) in the perps' eyes. then deny, deny, deny. "slashing tires causes vision loss".

and +1 on the camera idea, preferrably with night vision.

The laser sight (or pointer) is a great idea, cause you can be a LONG way away from him hidden somewhere - and he'll never know exactly where it's coming from.
