I received an email today from a police contact. It appears that latest method of stealing your vehicle is to write down the VIN Number then take the number to a local ford dealership. The thief then claims he lost the key to his mustang. All the Ford staff do is ask for the VIN Number and a new key is produced and next thing you know you are missing a mustang.
What I have down today is cut a piece of a blue key tab about 3 inches by 1 inch and placed it over the VIN Number located on the lower left dash. If you need your VIN Number it should be on the production label on the door trim on the rear driver's side.
