That's wild. It's very hard to break fiber optic cables, they're wrapped in kevlar. Most of the time, like when trees fall on our lines, it will pull the pole down if there is a weak point in it and the fiber optic lines will be fine. We have, however, had some crazy people try to shoot them with arrows out in the more rural parts of the county.
