I've already said how much I like the new Camaro.....but I'll hold off on picking which I like more considering we havent seen the 2010 Mustang yet, and ultimately thats what the Camaro is competing with. Also those prices do sound great but are they actually official? And I always thought the Z28 was the "GT" competitor and teh SS was the "Cobra/Shelby's" competitor. Why would they change that this generation?
Kidding right? that thing is no way as good looking as the S197 Mustang it looks like it's a cartoon character!! Sorry, very silly looking to me!
I am leary myself on those numbers. They can't be GM sourced as GM wouldn't have called the LSA a 6.0 or the LS3 a 6.0L.Not to mention all mules are shod in 20's none of which are mentioned in that. I have many friends with many connections and have yet to hear this. Would be nice if It were true, that means I can get my LSA powered vert for around 45ish. Still I am going to take this with a grain of salt.
Also after rereading that the LS8 (not LS9) makes 525 HP and could fit in that price range, there is no way a hand built engine (LS9) with titanium rods forged pistons etc plus all the other purported upgrades is only going to add 11K. The LS9 is undoubtedly going to be more expensive than the LS7 and the LS7 sells for 13K by itself. Especially with it's high end bits and that it is hand built just like the LS7 at Wixom. If one gets an actual LS9 I see no less than 45 for a coupe version of it. The LSA in the caddy is more like it and "might" fit in that range price and power.
Also take into account Caddy CTS 34K CTS-V with LSA 62K. The caddy may have alot more body work (hood both fascias etc), suspension etc. that is stll a 28K hike.
I'm the resident 5th gen nut and I say not likely but would love it if it were true.

Agreed with the above! I wish for a few tweaks on the front and a lot on the rear...side profile is pretty good.

Nice trailer hitch. Typical GM marketing ploy, every V8 is an SS or Z38. GM will throw an SS emblem on a toaster.
