Think I'm gonna take a hit....
After thinking about this long and hard I emailed the dealer I bought my Subaru from to see what kind of lease trade in I could do.
Not that I don't like the 2.5i but man sometimes it just feels sooooo sllloooowwww. If the hit isn't too bad I'm gonna take it and get a WRX TR.
I'm really kicking myself for not splurging in the first place. I mean yeah I want to be frugal but I think I saw the dollar signs of how much I'd be saving compared to what I'd enjoy.
Any opinions, please feel free to comment.
Thanks,
Andy

So you're trading in the 2.5 for a WRX?
No chance of getting the STi?
Either way, I think you'll be happy with the WRX. It's a cool car![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
So I agree, if the hit isn't too bad, I think getting the WRX would be worth it.

Let me know what type of deal they're offering. I have a friend in MI who is a Subaru Tech and he always alerts me to great deals. I have a 1995 Legacy LSI sedan (loaded) we got for $7K in 2000. That thing is still great (no rust) and the motor is good for another 100K.

If the lease of the WRX doesn't work out I'm gonna try to do a buy on an 07 TR once the 08 models start hitting the floors.
I don't really need to get a regular WRX or Limited since I would be modifying it anyway if I bought one.

yeah, why not get a mustang?
imo mustang > wrx
...of course i'm biased.
but of course i also think
sti > mustang, if you have the money.
EDIT: oh the TR...so you're on a pretty tight budget...
yeah hmm, I guess in that price range the mustang's kinda out of the question.
plus it seems like you have your heart set on a suby.

i am looking to get a 2002-2003 2.5 rs or ts as a second car to my '07. i think if the lease is only a 2-3 year lease, i would just stick it through and buy something used after the fact. Now i know the problem with tr's is that if you wait, the onel you'll find will most likely already have a bunch of mods done to it. but i think giving up the lease and trying to do something else right now will just hurt the wallet even more so. If it were me, i would just stick the 2.5i out and buy something else afterwards.

I really miss the front end of the first WRX's with the round headlights...I thought those were really cool looking. Since then I've been rather dissapointed with the styling, but I'm sure they are still plenty fun to drive.

Well, the dealer called me and left a message on Friday. I'm supposed to call him a make an appt. to see what he can do on Mon.
This is all gonna depend on the hit. Frankly, I don't want to waste his time or mine if it's not gonna work out so we'll see.
