There is really nice 1993 Ford Taurus SHO that I would like to buy. 3.2L V6 automatic, 82,000 miles, guy is asking $3,000 for it. There are few problems, oil is leaking and there is some rust (especially under the hood).

Does anyone have any experience with Taurus SHO?

Is it worth $3,000?

This is that car:

Yeah, the Autos are notorious for dying around 100k. Ask if he had it replaced yet, if not, find a 5 speed. Also my SHO had 179k, and never leaked oil, has to make you wonder!! And yes my SHO was drove hard, really hard

I don't think 3.2L exist with 5-speed.

You won't get more than 120,000 without a new tranny.

My boss just sold his sho with a 5 speed. Awesome car, pretty fast too. I would recommend it. He put 196,000 on his, and only cost him a water pump.

1992-1995 Taurus SHO is very rare car on the streets. 3.0L only came with manual transmission, 3.2L only came with automatic transmission. They're really hard to find.

I owned a 95 SHO for seven years. Great car. Fast and pretty reliable. My only complaint was that because of it's low production numbers, parts were hard to come by (at least in my area). Simple things like starters, alternator, even sensors had to be special ordered. That's why I got rid of it in 2001 with about 90K on the odo. If you want more info, check out the SHOTimes Web Page. They're actually having the SHO National Convention this week in the San Francisico Bay area.

Check this out This should answer alot of questions about the SHO. FYI, the 93 is a genII. Thye ATX tranny is deffinately the weak point on the car. Its also slower than the MTX car.
