Talking

This car was the brain child of Rick Titus and Chuck Beck. They were produced and sold packing a Taurus SHO V6 and sporting RWD. Weighing in around 1,800 pounds that kind of power is more than sufficient for some fun.

Apparently from an article I was reading it appears that Jay Leno owns two of them.

The best thing is that they are a recognized produced vehicle. They even have an NADA value.

I remember the ShoGun when it came out, wanted one so bad! The Tarus SHO V6 is probably one of the sweetest V6 engines to ever come out of Ford. I'd daydream about a factory SHO Mustang as a replacement for the SVO. IIRC, the SHO V6 used the same bellhousing pattern as the Aerostar's V6 engine?????

I believe that is correct. Originally, Ford asked Yamaha to design DOHC heads that would fit on the Vulcan 3.0L V6 (as used in the Aerostar et al) but Yamaha decided the bottom end wasn't beefy enough to handle the 7,000 RPM redline so Yamaha designed a new block with the same dimensions as the Vulcan except with a stouter bottom end. The new block was designed to mate to existing Ford bellhousings.

That's like my idea: cram the new 3.5L V6 into an MX-5. FUN!

That car is pretty famous in Ford loure of enthusiasts. Jay Leno even has one. From what I know, it is one fast compact car.

Hey Andy, The guy go created this, Rick Titus. He is the same guy in the Ford DVD's we get when new cars come out. He's the guy that does all the walkarounds, and has the funny insults for the competitions cars. I've met him, and he is a cool car guy. If the regional office is having another rally at the car show, I'm going, and last time they did, he was there to liven things up. We'll have to see what is planned when the car show arrives early Febuary.
