You and me both. I can not wait to see one of these, and unfortunately I agree full heartedly about the snakes becoming far too common in today's marketplace.

Cheetah's are without question neat rides, and gave the Chevy fanbois the closest thing to a Cobra they would ever really get. But I always felt the car had too much unfounded bravado surrounding it as a Cobra-hunter or Cobra-killer. Is it cool? Yes, very much so. But in the end it was never a very successful race car, nothing close to the Cobra, and the Cobra-hunter stuff, which has gone on for years now, is a bit over the top.

now you are talking!
Agreed 100%
I think these are just wild cars built when the world wasn't afraid to be wild. I've never for one minute thought this thing could hang with a cobra..but on the you have gotta be "insane to drive this car really fast scale"..the cheetah gets the nod for sure

Very cool find Doug. This one sure rattled my memory box in a wild way.
One of my best slot racecars back in the 60's was a 1/32 *** Cheetah.
Checked on Steal-Bay and found one selling for $150+, should have kept my old toys.

Also, there was a real one prowling the streets on my hometown back then too.
It put on a good show, but was no match for the local corner carving king, a 914/6 stuffed
with a Chevy 327.

. . . . how about a 'regular' run of the mill 4V with a 4bbl carb?! That should fit your air cleaner!!
