So, what other cars have you owned?

I was bored the other night and dug out my box of pictures and found pics of almost all of my former rides. One thing is for sure..my dad passed on the "Ford" gene. A couple bumps with GM

Well, here they are in order.

1975 Ford Maverick

First GM trip, 1979 Monte Carlo..if only that back seat could talk.

Well, it was a fitting end for the Chevy.

In action.

And the "end". Some dude even said it had another derby or two left in it

Back to Ford. 1986 Escort GT was mine, the 89' Stang was my brothers...so wanted that car (still do)

Went Kart racing and needed a truck to haul my Kart around.

1992 Ford F-150

Next, the pimp daddy truck, 1995 F-150 short bed with a Mark III conversion. God I miss that truck.....and being thin....and hair

Next, (No pics) bought a 1994 Blue (same as Vista Blue) Thunderbird. Decent car but never really liked it all that much.

Got back into racing and back to a truck, bought my brothers 1989 F-150 (yes he traded in the Stang for this truck). Sold this one in 2001 down here in Florida for 3k and it had 228K on it! Freeking work horse and still purred like a kitten.

In 2001 I made an attempt to get my first ever Mustang.....I lost and the wife won....2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (No pics). At least it was supercharged.. Good car though.

2004 Pontiac lease up, 2nd attempt at my first Mustang, I win

And finally, after 35 years of waiting, I got a Mustang that at least resembles the 60's ponies I loved all my life.

First of all, you have a beautiful car.
Next... When I started driving 1975 Mavericks didn't exist yet.
More to the point... I can't list all the cars I have had.
Lastly (and no one knows why) I still have all my hair.

While I don't have any pictures, here is a list of my cars, both past and present:

1. 1975 Chevy Nova. Bought for $200. Car was listed as "blue" on the title, but it had more rust than paint left on it. Gas guage didn't work, so I ran out of gas at least twice. Shook like the ****ens anytime I went over 70 mph (which required going down hill). Spent some cash to have the car repainted in a Tennessee Titans theme. Navy blue bottom with a sky blue top seperated by a white pin stripe. White, pointy stripes comming up the hood much like on a Titans helmet. And don't forget the signature Titans fireball on the doors! Actually looked pretty sharp after the paint job. Sold to some sucker for $1500.

2. 1997 Mercury Sable. Graduation gift, since my parents didn't want me driving that Nova any farther away from home than 30 miles or so. Great car... traded in for car #4

3. 1984 Chavy Camaro Z-28. Purchased for $300. Nice car...but just didn't have the power I wanted. Sold for $2500.

4. 2002 Ford Mustang V6. I throughly enjoyed this car. It was an ex-rental vehicle...so I felt dirty driving her. Traded her in for my current vehicle:

5. 2007 Mustang GT. LOVE this car. Will NEVER get rid of her. I'll eat Ramen noodles before she gets traded in.

6. 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE. Bought for $910. Used as a winter beater last year. Did very well! Sold for $1300.

Cars I also own, but I didn't list above:

1. 1967 Ford Mustang. Car is nothing but a frame, sheet metal, and some glass. Got for free from my brother. I don't know if she can be salvaged... probably not worth the work. If she were a fast back maybe...

2. 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500XL fastback. Car is at my brother's house, awaiting restoration.

Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of my teenage years cars.

1. 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 4-door 352 - Picked it up off some guy for $150 and threw some glass packs on it. He wanted $500 but everyone wanted to use it for demo derby. He knew I'd drive it. It drove great, just rusty as hell. Learned to drive with that in the middle of winter. Bald tires, no less. That backseat could definitely tell some stories. Thought the tranny was going out, so sold it for $300. Came to find out it the shifter linkage was just loose Guy sold it before I could buy it back.

2. 1986 Mercury Sable - Nothing much to say here. Had over 200,000 miles and ran great. Except, again, it saw a lot of backseat action.

3. 1991 Dodge Shadow ES 2 door - This was my Junior year car. Mint condition. Pretty nice little ride for a 17 year old.

4. 1995 Chevy Cavalier - Meh, nothing too exciting. Though this one also saw quite a bit of action. I was newly single when I bought this, going into Senior year.

5. 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix. High mileage. Pretty good amount of torque for what it was.

6. 1986 Chevy Celebrity Wagon - Inherited from my grandfather. Went thru some rough times and needed a car bad. It served the purpose.

7. 1996 Mercury Mistake - Ex wife gave me that when she bought a new one. She took it back when I left her.

8. 2003 Mustang GT 5spd - Finally got myself a Mustang. Landed a new job, left my wife, and had to buy something since she took her car back. I loved that car. Only mods were grill delete, chin spoiler, and off road pipe. This was my first brand new car. Served me well, 'till I pole ran out in front of me at a high rate of speed.

9. 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T - Would have went with another Mustang, but thought I'd give it a try. They'd just came out, and I really liked having big power, yet room to haul my PA crap. In the end, it just wasn't a Mustang

10. 2005 Mustang GT *currently own* - This started out as my girlfriend's car, but as we moved to "fiance", our cars have become "our cars". Besides, she bought it outright with the money she got from the insurance company over the accident. (long story)

11. 1977 Cobra II 2.3L *currently own* - It was pulled out of a barn in California in 2005, after being in there since 1984. Haven't gotten around to restoration yet.

12. 2002 Mercury Mountaineer AWD - Nothing special, just our hauler

12. 2007 Mustang GT *currently own* - This is my new baby. My daily driver. I'm loving every minute of it.

13. 2007 Explorer XLT *currently own* - No pictures, nothing special. Just our new hauler.

cars

1978 Olds Cutlass Supreme: bought by my Grandparents, given to me when my Grandmother passed and Grandfather sold the farm. I sold to my brother when I joined the Army, who sold to my sister when she needed a car.

1984 Pontiac Trans Am: bought by me the week I graduated high school. A drunk in a 4x4 pulled out in front of me 4th of July weekend. That was that until I got back home on Christmas leave from the Army, my brother had it fixed and ready to roll.

1990 Chevy Z71 Sportside: first "new" vehicle purchase. Bought as a left over in March '91 while on leave from Korea.

1992 Pontiac Trans Am: ex-wife talked me into trading the '84 (black/gold) in for this (red). Never really liked it as much.

1992 Saturn SL2: traded the '92 Trans Am for this econo-box. Really ****ed off the ex-wife (beginning of the end for that marriage).

1995 Chevy Z71 extended-cab: traded the old Z71 for this new (now divorced)

1995 Mustang GT convertible: FIRST STANG!! Traded the Z71 (had it for 1 month) in for the stang. Put about 30,000 miles on it in one year driving to MO from MS and back to see my new honey (married '96).

1997 Ford F-150 XLT: Reg cap/Flareside, good truck, put near 170,000 miles on it before I sold it in 2004. Traded the stang in for this.

1997 Chevy Monte Carlo LS: Bought as a demo, still have it. 207,000 and still going.

2004 Ford F-150 FX4: Reg cap/Flareside. Bought new, never drove it much so.....

Traded for it for my 2006 Mustang GT in April '06!! Currently looking for a replacement daily driver for the Monte Carlo plus baby on the way in October!!

Here's mine:

1985 Ford LTD II - One of the most reliable cars I've had, really

1993 Ford Tempo - Nicknamed the "Temp-slo" pumping out a whopping 96 horses

1979 Olds Cutlass Supreme - Nicknamed "El Presidente" for the crazy black, white, tan patterned seats. The entire car was black including the bumpers, grill and limo tinted windows. No heat, leaky sun roof.

1966 Ford Mustang (white) - My first.

1966 Ford Mustang (red) - My second and longest kept car (9 years)

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT - Loved that car

2004 Mercedes SLK230 - Wife's car. Major POS, in the shop every month

2005 Ford Escape - It was bland-tastic!

2006 Ford Mustang GT - Best car ever

2006 BMW 325i - Wife's car.

Let's see... nothing special here but

1985 Pontiac Fiero V6 Coupe White/Grey - for 2 whole days one at the shop and one on the road. Saldy it overheated like crazy and I needed something realiable for work. I sold it to a friend of mine and paid back my mom for what she'd put into the car for me. Though it was a definitely fun car

2000 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner Brown/Grey- For 1 month then the front passenger tire decided to fall off. Found out later the truck had been hit and repaired but there was frame damage and as it was a certified pre-owned they messed up. After some fuss and 43 days in a rental the dealer gave me back my down payment. Then I got...

2003 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6 Silver/Grey - and in a year she'll be paid off!
