Shout out to a Corvette Club....
Yesterday I entered my Mustang in a judged, open event at Konner Chevrolet in West Caldwell, NJ.
Sponsored by The Natural Glass Corvette Association, the members of this club were the friendliest, nicest bunch of folks I've ever met. The show was professional and well organized. And the show was HUGE!!! There were over 200 cars in my estimation, all makes, and styles, with 22 classes of judging.
Naturally the focus was on Corvettes, and there were at least 50 club cars segregated on the other side of the dealership. All the members served as judges and recused themselves from entering the judged classes. But they did have People's Choice for their own cars. These guys and gals were a class act, or should I say glass act!!!
I wish I had taken more pics of the Vettes. Next year I'll concentrate more on "that other brand"!!!!
Up until yesterday I was 'meh' about the new Vette. But on the showroom floor there was a new convertible in what I think was called "Lime Rock Green" with a beautiful brown top and interior. In fact the dealer had two of these in that color. For a moment I think my heart stopped. The car was drop dead gorgeous and if I had 80 large laying around, I'd have wanted it. A truly stunning car.
Two of the most outstanding 'Vettes were both C2's...an amazing red on red roadster, and a numbers matching restored '63 Split Window Fuelie....probably rare as hens teeth. The owner had 2000 hours in the resto.
Again, thanks to the Natural Glass Corvette Association. Look for me there in 2015.

Were you driving your Boss when you took the pic? That must have been a nice sight from the street....Hemi Charger, new Vette, and Miss Scarlet.
Nope I was in my sisters Escape. Miss Scarlet never spent a night outside anywhere. Debating taking her down for the cruiser weekend in May next year. Just would be scared where to park her. :-)
