Rockstars Receive Keys to Ford GT Supercars
DETROIT, MI. - May 12, 2005: Sammy "The Red Rocker" Hagar and Michael Anthony, bassist for Van Halen break into an a cappella version of "I Can't Drive 55" after receiving the keys to their new Ford GT supercars prior to their concert at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan.
Sammy Hagar is a BIG car guy. In an older issue of Automobile Magazine, they spotlighted some collections of famous people, and his was one that was featured. In that article, me mentioned that we wanted to get one of the "upcoming" Ford GT supercars, as that issue the article was in, the cars were still in the prototype testing phase. Glad to see he finally got his new ride.

Sammy Hagar and the Warboritas. Wabos for short I guess. Great solor stuff. Sammy is turning into a modern rock version of Jimmy Buffett. His followers are the Red Heads. Funny stuff.
I thought he and Van Halen got back together, guess it was short lived.
