I'm with you; all this tracking is just plain creepy, I want no part of it. And no, I am not engaged in criminal activities 
"Kids these days" don't seem to care if their every move is tracked and cross-referenced, I guess it's just us old farts who are uncomfortable with it.

It is all very creepy.
These companies that build these things all start out with good intentions (there are exceptions, like Ellison, Bezos, & Zuckerberg), but there are always those that will use our info against us.
Need to watch out for any new convince device that has recording devices, cameras and/or microphones, etc. They are all sending info back to their manufacturer and will show up when you least expect it.
If no one speaks up then this becomes acceptable.

I Knew These Guys Were Bad News But Not How Bad! Sign Up & You Basically Give Access to ANYTHING you Do Online Like Your Banking! If your Every Keystroke can Be Tracked Your Passwords are Available to Them!

I did shut the WiFi off on my F150, it was able to hook up to my router as I was backing into the Garage. Mustang Entertainment system is 1 Generation below that and still has its own hard drive.

Black boxes in cars aren't a new idea. The practice started in 1994 with cars from Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet and Pontiac. The black boxes were meant to help manufacturers learn how their cars performed in crashes.
Since the early 2000s, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has been collecting black box information to get a better picture of the circumstances surrounding car accidents. In 2013, 96% of every new car sold in the United States came with a black box, and as of Sept. 1, 2014, every new vehicle must have one installed.
