Porsche 9FF GT9 - Video
Faster than a Veyron...?

Veyron top speed is 255 MPH. Don't see this Porsche getting anywhere near that. And it's 0-60 is still slower than the Veyron.
Line it up against a Veyron and let's see it. Talk is cheap, and how a car "feels" subjectively means nothing.

This isn't a competitive car for someone who is in the market of a Veyron in order to have a fast car. Barely anyone who buys a Veyron does so to have a car that can do 256MPH. They buy it because people know what it is, and know it is worth a pretty penny. If you want a car that can go fast, buy this one. If you want a car that you can show off to everyone in Beverly Hills with, buy the Veyron.
The Veyron isn't a car that I would want to go fast in, it's not even a car I would want to buy. Kind of like a DB9 or an 8 series BMW, it doesn't seem like it knows what it wants to be.
If I wanted a supercar I would go Koenigsegg for being a fast car that is exotic. If I wanted a luxury car, I'd buy a rolls. No one needs something like that for the street.

I agree, I would not want one...I don't really see the point other than what you mentioned above. I think for Bugatti, it was more about testing the limits of what's possible in a car. And they succeeded pretty handsomely, I should say. Not to mention got people talking about the name Bugatti again.

In any event, comparing that modded Porsche to the Veyron is just stupid. Fast as it may be, the Veyron would wipe the tarmac with it.
To all the skeptics here, they aren't talking about being faster than the Bugatti in top speed, but the time it takes to get to a particular speed. The 9ff is faster in this category than the Veyron. Yes, the 0-60 is passe (4.2), but that is because it has so much power and no traction, while the Veyron has 4WD to counter its power.

Yet they're "selling" it as faster overall.
