Really should not be quoting an entire article. Especially without formatting.

Post a summary, post the URL.

I did post URL . . . and removed the text. But as long as URL is posted with proper author there shouldn't be an issue. And I have informed AE about linking/posting articles in the past . . .

Yes, but before editing you also posted the entire article.

Was saying to just post a summary and the URL (so people not interested after the summary won't waste time clicking the link).

I find DeLorenzo's rantings sometimes a little over the top, but with this editorial, I think he is right on the money. It's one of the best things I've read that he has written. There are so many points in this editorial to talk about.

The first one I'd like to point out:

It used to be conventional industry wisdom that you were only as good as your last hit product, but even that's not the case anymore. Now, you're only as good as your next product that might not be coming out for 12 to 24 months - yet it has been dissected, analyzed and praised (or crucified) long before it even hits the streets.
That is so true, now there are "experts" with blogs on the internet playing "armchair auto executive". Rumors and half-truths spread, then eventually become accepted as "truth".

An example: The rumor came out that the Ford Freestyle was cancelled, and people still quote this rumor as an official Ford decision and proof of Ford's lack of direction, even though Ford denied the rumor in a Chicago newspaper.

I find DeLorenzo's writing both insightful and interesting. I completely agree with him in his thoughts on BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Toyota and their Texas venture.

Having said that, I'm not holding my breath about the future of Ford and Gm. It'll play out the way it will without my opnions or expectations but I wish the best to both of them.
