Just curious who all is looking forward to the official unveiling of the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina since the other thread has gotten very little attention as the unveiling gets closer and closer.

I'm interested but it's not something I'm holding my breath about. For some reason this car just doesn't grab me as much as I thought it would.

 

already seen it, it will probably be down here at CC soon after it is "officially" unvieled, awesome car though, do you happen to know if they are showing the white or red one?

 

No plans for it to go to CC for a long time actually. After the Concours in Monterey, it will be on it's way to France (?) for high speed testing, then off to Spain for their international car show. On another note, there is only one car. The red is it's only color.

Yes, the white was a primer, then shrink wrap was used to hide the car and protect the paint while it was being tested.

speaking of rare 1 off Ferraris; have you seen the 575GTZ? thats an amazing car, it was at my friends shop, symbolic, not too long ago.

 

Yes, I am the Cntchds from FChat. I have seen the 575 Zagato though not in person, an amazing car from what pictures can show. Your friend owns Symbolic? I may send you a message I'm down south in October. The 599 I hear is also being unveiled for the US tomorrow, just not at the same place as Jim's car. If you ever hear word that the P4/5 is on its way to CC please let me know.

its actually his dad who owns it still a lot of fun for us though...lol, kind of over "typical" exotics though because of that.

 

Hey rrobello, about the 599? My friend just picked his up from his 599 GTB Fiorano from his local Ferrari dealer Wednesday night. I'm on vacation this week, so I won't see it till I get back this weekend, but he told me that it is SICK FAST!!!! INSANE FAST!!! That's how pumped he was when he called me. Its scary fast! Can't wait to see it, and go for a ride.

And Peter, I am really pumped to see the car, but I am on the east coast, so flying out there isn't in the cards, plus I was told that tickets to this years Concorso Italiano are over $150 per person, is that right? Thats crazy. I hope that Jim will have the car at the New York Auto show next April. That's the only place I will get a chance to see it in person I gather.

 

Make sure to take a butt load of pics for us

 

I'll do what I can. Tonight is bad, since by the time I get back from the beach, it will be too dark to take good ones. Maybe tomorrow morning before he goes to work, as I'm off. Its TDF blue, with the black leather seats. Totally tricked out, but not excessive. Hopefully I'll get a chance to check it out soon, and take some good pics.

jesus... that was.... amazing...

that car really is like sex. it was all i could do to prevent lil ol petey off of her. as a matter of fact... he even said he'd make love to it lol.

neither of us can sleep now. and my camera's battery died so i cant upload the pichas yet. all 100-odd pichas oh and video of the unveiling!!!!

yeeeehaaww!!!! that was amazing. you ppl have NO idea. i can still smell that octane
