....too bad, its well engineered and power/sound/interior is good, but even with the hood scoops and the changed rear, its still looks like a Cavalier on steriods.

i actually quite like it. IMO, itd be great with the old style front end and new style rear end

 

Bloated and generic. Can't believe they ever approved that.

 

I can believe it. They were going for the sleeper look, feeling that the performance alone would sell the car. Remember the original GTO was built off the Tempest.

 

It's a step in the right direction--they should just take it further along to look like Doug's Judge chop.

ok the 05 gto looks great from the back,got a big v8,nice interior,irs and the rest is crap

 

Remember folkas, there is a difference between the sleeper look, and a cars whose looks induce sleep. The GTO is just a yawn-inducing machine. And, it looked better before the scoops, they just look ridiculous on this car. Might as well have stuck scoops on a LeSabre.

 

Now it almost resembles a lancer evolution...

 

they should have just left it like this and kept it called a Monaro. I personally think this version looks sweet

 

You know what's funny, that split grille almost looks like the Pontiac grille. How sad that the GTO could have looked like that and ended up looking like it should wear a Grand Prix badge.

 

I don't usually say this, but i think it needs bigger wheels. Its nice that they got rid of that crazy dual exhaust but still on the same side thing. I think it would look better if the belt line continued in a straight line from the hood to the tail, instead of dipping down for the windows. SOmeone wanna try that out on photoshop? I think you photoshop guys should try making this thing pretty.

My favourite line in that stang vs gto in last month's Car and Driver:
uhh... don't remember word for word... basically likening those scoops on the gto to aunt clara drawing on some angrier looking eyebrows. "nice try."
