:bang: Here is the deal.
I am selling my Mazda 6 so I can buy the Mustang GT.
I am looking for the paint the dealers use on the windows of the cars showing sales, rebates, etc.
I dont want to use one of those chalk markers everyone uses cause it streeks and is to thick. ( Looks like crap , actually)

WHERE CAN I GET A PAINT PEN FOR THE WINDOW? WHAT KIND OF PAINT? ACRYLIC?

because we may not know? Also if you know any cheerleaders, they might know because they put that stuff on their cars all the time!!! Sorry I can't help ya! You might want to call a dealership and ask them what that stuff is.

 

It's white (whatever color) shoe polish in the squeezie bottle with the pad on the tip

Ohh ya duh :bang: , White shoe polish would work....use it for racing all the time. There are probably different colors out there? Like orange or red or blue?

 

Yeah I think Summit sells special stuff for racing window marking but everyone used shoe polish first

Do NOT use acrylic paint on your windows. If you want to use "paint" use Tempra paint. That's what people use for window paintings.

At Michaels Arts and Crafts there is a paint "pen" you can use to do this too. It's in the wedding aisle there. I know, cuz I'm a custom framer there.

And as someone else suggested... shoe poilish.

But.. IMHO.. I WOULD NOT DO IT!! Seriously, it's a P.I.T.A. to get off, if it's hot out, some of the paint could bake on the windows and you'll have to use a razor blade to get it off. NOT WORTH IT!! Make a sign with poster boards and markers and put it inside the car.

You just lightly scrape it off with a razor blade and then use 000 steel wool with window cleaner.........GONE

 

Their use to be this stuff called MEAN STREAK,,,,,,,,,used just for that stuff. I have a pen still somewhere. Wont come off unless u scrape it off!!!

Just meant for glass though,,,,,,,like u need

 

They sell Paint Sticks Made for this kind of thing, in all kind of different colors, at Wal Mart and just about any Store like that. Just go to the Automotive Department. People also use them to mark things like Congratulations, Just Married, etc with them.
