OMG, Evo!
The performance will be there for both the STi and the Evo X, no doubt, but it doesn't change the fact that they both look ridiculous. I love the idea of the speed they are capable of, even in stock form, not to mention modified, but I would never be caught driving one of them. They just scream "boy-racer".
Why is it that both the WRX and the Evo have gotten uglier with each generation as well? Awful styling IMO...

That's all well and good, and even though every goofy-looking part on the Evo and STi is functional, it doesn't change that fact that they are a 12 year old's wet dream. Boxy fender flares, gigantic wings, ridiculously overproportioned hood scoops, etc... yes it's all for going fast, and yes it looks aggressive, but it looks ugly and cartoonish as well.
Gearing will only get you so far - well that is if your limited in the amount of cogs you can use, I still say 12.5 in the 1/4 is overly optimistic despite it being AWD, there are plenty of ET calculators out there that will give you a perfect launch scenario and with 300hp @ 3500 lbs (remote control car running on fuel that weighs ZERO) gets into the low 13s but doesn't break the 12 second barrier. I say with a the DSG tranny it'll get a bit below 13.5 and thats it (assuming a 150 lbs driver with about a 1/2 tank of gas).
Now give this car another 50hp (easy to do) and it will do 12s all day long - and sadly with AWD and DSG its all about the car and not about the driver.

You must be talking Camaro, but this car speaks more to your typical bowtie mullet head than any mustang ever would. GM guys are all about the numbers first and everything else second.
actually he must be talking about the 69 charger. Yes if it's fast it's fast, but when I buy a Car I look for style more so then performance numbers. Lets face it this is not the 60's or 70's and every quater mile of the interstate is not a drag strip, it's a Trooper station. Don't bother saying thats what the track is for because 80% of these "boy racers" drive like total dip ****s on populated streets, lets face it the "import scene" is home to some of the most idiotic drivers on the planet. So to me style is more important because I don't need to go from red light to redlight in 2 seconds
I agree, the 12.5 estimate seems a bit optimistic. I understand that the AWD will give great 60' times, but enough for over 0.5 secs off? I guess time will tell.
The Evo is the car that I love to hate. Don't get me wrong, I respect it very much performancewise... but there is so much else that I hate about.

meh, another 70hp would help in the speed department, hard to beat the handling of AWD, but a bit more rubber and stability control added to the traction control would help narrow the gap.
12.5 is way optimistic. Even with a perfect launch, perfect shifts everytime, perfect weather and track condition there is no way that thing will hit 12's period. Older Evo 13 flat? I go to the track alot and have yet to see an Evo or STI for that matter go below HIGH 13's stock. I have a friend with one thats in the 12's but it is not stock, all hot side turbo stuff replaced CAI and a few other small stuff. I've raced several with your usual K&N and 4 in exhaust tip and they still won't break 13.5. They shoot me out of the hole I run them down at the end of the track and that is before the stall, gears, LS6 intake, and headers I have now in my sig. Mags say a bunch but tracks don't lie. Show me a vid of any stock evo hitting 13 flat and I might believe it is stock. 3500 minus driver is physically impossible with those hp numbers to run mid twelves.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360 Sports Car

We don't normally do cars on Mobilewhack, but this new car just announced by Mitsubishi is just to cool to pass by and I must admit the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo is one my favorite cars of all time. It's famous for its powerful engine and complicated and cool body design. The new car announced is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360 sports car which will be able to produce an incredible 366 of pure horsepower. That is 86 more hp than the old version of Lancer Evo which only attains 280 hp. I would like to know what's under the roof. The FQ-360 features a high-performance Mitsubishi 2.0-litre turbo engine and a tweak ECU. The Engine Control Unit which is located inside the car has been fully reprogrammed making it possible to deliver 366bhp at 6887rpm and 363ib ft of torque at 3200rpm. Did you know that both horsepower and torque play a role in performance?. Torque is the measurement on how much twisting force is at work in order to move all the components before moving the car. Torque for FQ-360 is 363lb ft which is 8lb ft more than the old version of FQ-400. If you bring this Lancer Evo IX for a drag race, you will certainly be the main attraction with 0-60mph in an estimated 4.1 seconds and top 160mph. It will only be available in the UK with the price of£35,504. Will it reach U.S or Europe and other Asian country?
