Hmmmm..... Zeta II is built at a flex plant and it uses alot of G8 parts, but its pretty much its own chassis, wonder if GM is going the Solstice route here and soaking up some of the cost.

Ford needs to step up,not so much for the GT(well, yeah that too),but for the money maker V6. For 3-4K more starting price, you get IRS,6 speed transmissions,a 4 cam caddy engine with 90 more HP........sheesh,who would pick the Stang over that? When GM starts the rebates for the V6,like Ford does with its V6,this will cause trouble. Is the base Stang do to get that 3.5 anytime soon, because it needs it,along with alot more things.............this could be bad,the moneymaker is in trouble.

Rebates? On the 2010 Camaro? Your kidding right? They won't offer rebates on this car for at least a year, if not longer! GM doesn't want to lose any money on these cars! And forget rebates, as your gonna have to worry about ADMs on this car off the bat!

I never said this year, but GM WILL offer rebates on this car and when they do,it's going to affect Mustang sales in a big way.

Not bad...but you knew it was going to be more expensive than the Mustang.
4000 bucks is a deal breaker for some people...

all ford has to do is be cheaper and offer more stuff standard; they don't even have to offer as much HP, just got to be in the ballpark w/ HP and since its a lighter car

I think i'm going to be sick. I just bought my Mustang a few months ago for around $30k. Now people will be able to pick up a 422hp beast for the same price.

Good luck getting one at the MSRP! You just know they will be markups galore on this car. In my area, I know you won't be able to touch one for less than $45K or so!!!

Sounds little too good to be true.

Either GM found a really good way to cut a production cost or they're idiots who will lose money on every V8 Camaro they sell.

I'll admit its lower than I predicted but

-its still more expensive than a stang
-ADMs will be worse than on the '05 stang since the maros been on a hiatus and the 3 yr long hype train
-We will see what Ford has to offer in November

But its a lot more powerful. 300 hp Camaro for $22,000. 300 hp Mustang for $26,000 or so.
